Crime Report: 5/16/22
On May 2 at 2 am, officers responded to the 8200 block of Telegraph Rd. to reports of a male yelling for help. Responding officers located two adult male victims who stated they were contacted by three suspects who robbed them of $40,000 in jewelry and a French bulldog. The suspects were armed with a kitchen knife and one handgun. The victims were able to exit the location unharmed and called for help. The suspects fled the scene.
On May 2 at 1 pm, officers were dispatched to a robbery in progress at 7900 Imperial Hwy. The suspect approached the victim and grabbed the victim's purse, which led to a struggle over the purse. The suspect was able to remove the purse and fled in an awaiting vehicle.
On May 7 at 11:35 pm, officers responded to the 9900 block of Lakewood Blvd. in regards to a robbery. Responding officers determined the adult victim had his wallet and iPhone taken from him by two suspects. The suspects fled prior to officers’ arrival and were not located.
On May 8 at 8:10 pm, officers were dispatched to a disturbance at CVS, 7915 Florence Ave. The victim and her daughter were shopping at the location when a verbal argument ensued with the female adult suspect. The suspect produced a stun gun type device and struck the victim with the device. The suspect fled the location.
