Crime Report: 4/27/23

On 4/4/2023 at 5:15 PM, officers responded to the area of Florence Ave and Horley Ave regarding an assault.  The victim and suspect were involved in a road rage incident and the suspect used a firearm to shoot at the victim, who incurred minor injuries.  Detectives are investigating.

On 4/5/2023 at 3:15 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Imperial Hwy and Studebaker Rd. During the traffic stop, two occupants ran from the vehicle who were pursued and captured by officers.  During a search of the occupants, a stolen firearm was located.  Both occupants were arrested for various crimes. 

On 4/5/2023 at 8:45 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the area of Foster Rd and Woodruff Ave. During a search of the vehicle, a loaded firearm and various narcotics were located. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested for various charges.

On 4/6/2023 at 8:25 AM, officers responded to the area of Hall Rd and Adenmoor Ave regarding a fatal traffic collision.  Upon their arrival, they discovered an adult male was involved in a collision with a vehicle while riding an electric skateboard.  The investigation into the cause of the collision is on-going.

On 4/8/2023 at 3:40 AM, officers responded to the area of 11700 Gurley Ave regarding a report of a man with a gun.  The victim stated the suspect had brandished a firearm at him before fleeing into his apartment.  The suspect was later located and arrested for making a criminal threat.  A firearm was also located.

On 4/11/2023 at 5:15 PM, officers responded to the area of Richeon Ave and Brunache St regarding a stolen vehicle. Officers located the vehicle being driven by the suspect and the suspect fled on foot. After a large search, the suspect was taken into custody.

On 4/11/2023 at 8:00 PM, officers responded to the area of Paramount Blvd and Florence Ave regarding an attempted carjacking. The suspect had demanded the victim’s vehicle with a weapon, but fled on foot before taking the vehicle. Officers located the suspect nearby and arrested him for attempted carjacking.

On 4/12/2023 at 3:40 AM, officers responded to the area of Paramount Blvd and Cole St regarding an armed robbery of a convenience store. A few minutes later, another armed robbery occurred in the same general area. Later that day, officers located the suspect and placed him under arrest.

On 4/14/2023 at 8:25 PM, officers observed a stolen vehicle being driven in the area of Firestone Blvd and Stewart and Gray Rd. Officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the driver for driving a stolen vehicle.
