Crime Report, 3/1/16
Friday, February 19:
The Crime Impact Team deployed two two-officer units to patrol throughout the city. In all they made three arrests, issued two DMC citations, three traffic tickets, and two marijuana possession citations, as well as completed six Field Identification cards.
Saturday, February 20:
In the early morning hours, police detectives located a suspect wanted in connection with several burglaries to local schools. The suspect was interviewed, subsequently arrested and charged with burglary.
At 5:30 P.M., Gang Unit investigators contacted three male subjects in the park at 12520 Brookshire (Brookshire Park). One of the males, a 23-year-old Downey resident, was actively throwing dice for money. He was also found in possession of marijuana. The two others denied gambling and were released. The primary suspect was arrested and booked for illegal gambling.

Sunday, February 21:
At 12:05 A.M., a driver crashed his car in the intersection of Paramount and Florence. There were no injuries as a result of the collision but the subsequent investigation revealed the adult male subject was intoxicated. The subject was arrested for DUI and subsequently found in possession of cocaine. He was booked and subsequently released with a citation to appear in court.
