Crime Report, 2/26/18

Friday, February 16:
At 10:45 p.m., officers located a stolen vehicle at Lakewood Blvd. and Donovan St. The driver was arrested for grand theft auto.

Saturday, February 17:
At 6:00 p.m., a resident arrived at his home on the 7700 block of Adwen St. and found two suspects attempting to pry open a rear window. The suspects then fled and were located by officers at the Albertson’s parking lot. The suspects were arrested for attempt burglary.

Monday, February 19:
At 10:15 a.m., officers located a stolen vehicle at Firestone Blvd. and Brookshire Ave. The driver was arrested for grand theft auto.

At 10:30 p.m., a traffic collision occurred at Downey Ave. and Imperial Hwy. The two vehicles collided after one of the vehicles failed to stop for a red traffic signal. (Alcohol is believed to be the primary causal factor) The driver of one of the vehicle passed away due to injuries sustained in the collision. Traffic investigators are still investigating which driver caused the collision.
