Crime Report
Saturday, Oct. 11 At 10:45 a.m., the victim of a residential burglary that occurred on 9/15/14 came to the front desk to report he had seen the named suspect of the burglary in the area of Downey and De Palma. Officers responded and detained the suspect. The victim was transported to the scene where he positively identified the suspect, who was arrested without incident. Detectives are investigating.
Wednesday, Oct. 15
At 11:40 a.m., officers responded to the 8500 block of Adoree Street regarding a residential burglary investigation. Responding officers spoke to the owners of a residence who reported unknown suspects had made forced entry into their residence. The unknown suspect stole items from the residence and got into an awaiting vehicle. Forensics specialists responded and detectives are investigating.
Thursday, Oct. 16
At 4:40 a.m., officers responded to the 10000 block of Lakewood Blvd regarding a burglary. Responding officers discovered a male suspect inside the business with an injury to his hand. The suspect suffered the injury while breaking into the location. The suspect was arrested and booked for burglary.
At 8:05 p.m., officers responded to the 9100 block of Songfest Street regarding a possible shooting. Responding officers spoke with witnesses who reported a vehicle was seen speeding down the street shortly after hearing what appeared to be sounds of gun shots. Officers located six bullet casings in the area but did not locate any shooting victims. Forensics specialists responded and detectives are investigating.
Thursday, Oct. 23
At 2:30 p.m., officers responded to the 8000 block of Cheyenne regarding a possible burglary in progress. Responding officers found a man and woman in the process of ransacking a home they had broken into. Both were arrested for burglary and later sent to the Los Angeles County Jail.
Saturday, Oct. 25
At 12:30 p.m., officers responded to Tri-City Liquor (13421 Lakewood) regarding a robbery investigation. Responding officers spoke with the victim and witnesses who reported a male had assaulted the victim and stole the victim’s bicycle. The suspect fled the scene, but with the assistance of witnesses, officers were able to locate and arrest the suspect. The suspect was booked for Robbery and transported to Los Angeles County Jail.
At 10:30 p.m., officers responded to the Chevron Gas Station located at 9851 Imperial Hwy. regarding a robbery investigation. The victim reported two men were inside the store attempting to steal items. Responding officers were able to catch one of the suspects as he attempted to leave, but the other suspect fled before officers arrived. The suspect detained by officers was arrested and booked for robbery.
Tuesday, Oct. 28
At 8:00 a.m., officers responded to the 9000 block of Florence Avenue regarding a burglary investigation. Responding officers spoke with the victim who reported an unknown person broke into his locked vehicle removing personal belongings. Forensics Specialists responded and conducted their investigation. Detectives are investigating.
