Oct. 7:

Detectives are investigating an assault with a deadly weapon that occurred around midnight in the 8000 block of Imperial Hwy. Officers responded to Kaiser Permanente regarding a victim with a wound to the back of his head. The adult male victim advised an unknown male suspect approached him. The suspect demanded money from the victim. When the victim stated he did not have any money, the suspect struck the victim on the back of his head with a handgun. The victim then fled the location on foot.

Oct. 8:

At approximately 7:55 pm, officers responded to 12544 Rives (Apollo Park) regarding an attempted robbery with a firearm. The 20-year-old male victim was at Apollo Park near the restrooms when the suspect, whom he has seen in the area before, approached him. The suspect asked what possessions the victim had while lifting his shirt, exposing a firearm. The victim used his cell phone to call police and the suspect walked eastbound and out of sight. The victim was intoxicated and uncooperative. Detectives are investigating the incident.

Oct. 10:

At approximately 6 am, officers responded to a domestic violence call in the 8700 block of Imperial Hwy. The victim was awoken in his bedroom when his wife accused him of infidelity. When the male denied having an affair, the female pointed a firearm at his forehead and threatened to kill him. The male fled the residence and the female followed. As the male was running away, he heard what sounded like a single gunshot. Officers arrested the female when she returned home. The victim was not injured in the incident.

Oct. 11: 

Detectives are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred at about 12:55 am in the 12500 block of Paramount Blvd. The male adult suspect entered the store and selected merchandise. The suspect concealed the merchandise in a bag and started walking toward the exit doors.  The victim told the suspect to put the merchandise back or pay.  The suspect lifted his shirt and made a statement threatening the victim. The victim did not see a weapon however he believed the suspect had a knife. The victim moved away from the suspect and the suspect fled with the merchandise. 

Oct. 14:

At approximately 1:05 pm, officers located a stolen vehicle in the 11400 block of Pruess. Officers observed the vehicle in the area of Firestone Blvd. and Paramount Blvd. but the vehicle fled before officers could catch up. The vehicle was located unoccupied in the 11400 block of Pruess. An area search was conducted but the suspect was not located. The vehicle was recovered.    

Oct. 15:

Detectives are investigating a strong-arm robbery that occurred around 5:05 pm in the 8400 block of Firestone Blvd. The manager noticed a male inside the store possibly concealing items. When the manager contacted the male, he became angry and threatened to assault her. The male left the store without paying for the concealed items. Moments later, the male returned and attempted to punch the manager and take her cellphone from her hand. The suspect then fled on foot eastbound. Officers checked the area however were unable to locate the suspect.

Oct. 18:

At approximately 4 pm, officers responded to a robbery call at the Burlington Coat Factory. The adult male suspect began to conceal items within his duffle bags. Promenade security was contacted by the store and upon their arrival, the suspect fled with the loss. The suspect was contacted by security to the rear of Floor and Décor at which time a struggle ensued.  During the struggle, the suspect brandished a folding knife and stabbed the security officer multiple times in the back causing moderate injuries. The suspect picked up the duffle bags and fled on foot. Officers received a call at approximately 1830 hours in the area of Lakewood/Meadow regarding a male jumping fences. Officers detained the subject, who matched the suspect description in the earlier stabbing. An officer was able to positively identify the subject as being the suspect.
