Crime Report: 10/13/2020
Sept. 29:
At approximately 3:10 am, officers responded to a shots fired call in the area of Golondrinas St. / Dahlia Ave. The victim stated he is employed as a security guard. A known suspect began arguing and threatening the victim. The suspect then attempted to run over the victim in the parking lot. The victim fired approximately 5 rounds at the suspect. The suspect fled in his vehicle in an unknown direction. Detectives are investigating the incident.
Oct. 1:
At approximately 2 am, officers responded to the area of Firestone Blvd. / Woodruff Ave. to assist LA County Sheriff’s with an attempted carjacking at the Target store in Norwalk (Firestone Blvd/605 Fwy). A subject matching the description approached two officers on the southeast corner of Firestone Blvd. and Woodruff Ave. The subject was detained and sheriff’s deputies responded and positively identified the male as the suspect.
Oct. 2:
At approximately 10:25 pm, officers located a stolen vehicle as it turned into the parking lot on the northeast corner of Paramount Blvd and Imperial Hwy. Officers detained the driver, who was also a named suspect. The suspect was ultimately arrested and the vehicle was recovered.
Oct. 3:
At approximately 2 am, officers responded to the area of Downey Ave. and 3rd Street regarding a strong arm robbery. The victim was waiting for his Uber ride when 3 suspects approached him. The suspects pushed the victim to the ground, punched and kicked him, while removing his watch, necklace, chain, and wallet. The victim was uncooperative and said he could not recall anything else. Officers checked the area for the suspects and were UTL. Detectives are investigating the incident.
