Credit union marking 55 years

DOWNEY - Downey Federal Credit Union will mark its 55th anniversary with a week-long celebration Oct. 13-20.The celebration kicks off Oct. 13 with a party at Bob's Big Boy featuring games, balloon animals, live DJ, mini car show, a dance off, raffle prizes and more. On Oct. 18, the credit union will hold a Member Appreciation/International Credit Union Day, outside its main branch at 8237 3rd St., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with raffle prizes and more. Finally, the celebration wraps up Oct. 20 at the Downey Business Expo at Stonewood Center from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
