Concert at Beach's Market

DOWNEY - Pigeons, a four-piece band that plays a wide variety of music, from traditional country to rock and roll, will perform a free concert Nov. 28 from 1-4 p.m. in front of Beach's Market, 7900 Imperial Hwy.According to a news release, the band will be racing homing pigeons "to educate the community…that pigeons are not a dirty bird of the neighborhood." The concert is free but guests are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots.
