College mixer draws hundreds

NORWALK - An estimated 400 area business leaders mingled at Cerritos College's 16th annual Mega Mixer event April 26.Hosted by the college's office of Public Affairs, the event offered local business professionals a chance to network, share ideas and win prizes. The event had a theme of "Fun with Business - In It to Win It," complete with board games, dice and wheels of fortune. The Cerritos College Culinary Arts program created and served hors d'oeuvres and desserts. Local chambers of commerce represented at the mixer include Norwalk, Downey, Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Lakewood, Long Beach, Paramount and Santa Fe Springs. Since it began in 1996, the Mega Mixer has grown each year to feature booths from local businesses, along with several of the college's award-winning programs.
