Class helps kids with early literacy

DOWNEY - The Downey City Library is offering a free class for parents to help their preschool children with early literacy."Every Child Ready to Read" will be offered Tuesday from 10:40-11:10 a.m., and again Feb. 2 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Instructor Claudia Dailey will give parents techniques for helping young children to read and develop early language skills through picture books.
