City to honor outstanding kids

DOWNEY - Downey Parks and Recreation Department is accepting nominations for its Kids Hall of Fame, which recognizes children who have "demonstrated significant contributions in the areas of academics, athletics, community involvement through volunteerism or a heroic deed."Awardees will be presented with certificates at a ceremony April 25 at the Downey Theatre.
