City of Downey debuts redesigned website
DOWNEY — The city of Downey revealed a redesigned website Wednesday, incorporating a modern design that prioritizes increased access to information, city officials said.
The homepage features a centralized base of resources and information, directing the public to the information they need.
The website is organized to prioritize the city’s most visited pages and acess to online services, such as online water bill pay and registration for recreation classes.
“Our new city website caters directly to the needs of our community members,” said Mayor Rick Rodriguez.
“The website is a vital platform that ensures we continue to bring government services to our residents in a transparent and innovative way by making our website easier to navigate.”
City officials said they recognize the evolution of streamlined information “and strives to be adaptable to technological changes and trends.”
“The goal was to enhance customer experience, all while maintaining the integrity of city services in a platform that is accessible and user-friendly,” officials said in a press release.
“I would like to thank my fellow council colleagues for their support of our newly redesigned website, specifically Councilmembers Claudia Frometa and Sean Ashton who serve on the city’s website subcommittee and were directly involved in the process,” said Rodriguez.
