City library is meeting topic

DOWNEY - Nancy Messineo, librarian at the Downey City Library, will be the guest speaker at Wednesday's meeting of Citizens For Downey at the Rio Hondo Event Center.The library is not just a source of books and reading material. It also offers reading programs, book discussions, computer classes, and more. An optional breakfast buffet will be available at 7 a.m. The program begins shortly after. No reservations are required and the community is invited.
