Chorus seeks new members

BELLFLOWER - The Bellflower Civic Chorus is conducting a membership drive to entice new members to join its 50-member chorus.The choir is a mixed ensemble, men and women, 18 years and older. Rehearsals are held Tuesdays from 6-8:15 p.m. in Room 4 at Simms Park. Visitors are invited to attend and hear a sample of their repertoire, chat with members and learn more about the chorus. The chorus was founded more than 40 years ago in Downey and was named the Downey Civic Chorus. The group relocated to Bellflower in 1989. The chorus performs three concerts per year in May, September and December, singing a variety of music, including pop, country, Broadway, classics and more.
