Children’s musical comes to La Mirada

LA MIRADA – “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley,” a 60-minute musical for children ages 4 and up, will be performed Sunday, Feb. 15, at the La Mirada Theatre for the Performing Arts. Performances are at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

In this musical travelogue, Stanley, an ambitious exchange student, makes a wish to travel the world.

Traveling through the U.S. postal service, he thwarts a robbery at the Louvre Museum in Paris and surfs off the cost of Hawaii.

Stanley realizes, however, that adventures aren’t as special without his family around to share in the joy and excitement.

Jeff Brown’s beloved children’s book, “Flat Stanley,” was written in 1964 and has become a literary and pop cultural phenomenon.

Tickets to “The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley” are $10 for children and $15 for adults.
