Children's cereals ranked by sugar content

DOWNEY - Kellogg's Honey Smacks has the most sugar of all children's cereals, according to a study released this week by the Environmental Working Group.Honey Smacks contains 55.6 percent sugar by weight, according to the report. They were followed by Post Golden Crisp (51.9%) and Kellogg's Froot Loops Marshmallow (48.3%). Also on the list were Quaker Oats Cap'n Crunch OOPS! All Berries, Quaker Oats Cap'n Crunch original, Quaker Oats Oh!s, Kellogg's Smorz, Kellogg's Apple Jacks and Quaker Oats Cap'n Crunch's Crunch Berries. Kellogg's original Froot Loops had the least sugar content 41.4 percent.
