Children's author Adam Gidwitz to speak, sign books

DOWNEY -- New York Times best-selling author Adam Gidwitz will be at Stay Gallery this Thursday for a book-signing. 

Gidwitz is author of "A Tale Dark & Grimm," "The Empire Strikes Back: So You Want to Be a Jedi?" and other books. 

At Stay Gallery, Gidwitz will tell a "truly grim Grimm fair taleA," and train kids to be a Jedi. He will also speak about writing, imagination, and inspiration. 

A book-signing and meet-and-greet will follow. 

The event begins at 6 p.m. and is open to the public.
