Children can practice reading to dogs

REDONDO BEACH - Children are invited to practice their reading with the help of dogs at an event Sept. 3 from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Redondo Beach North Library.Sponsored by the spcaLA, children can read to therapy dogs without the risk of being embarrassed by mispronounced words, slow reading skills or lack of comprehension skills. The event is free. The Redondo Beach North Library at 1000 Artesia Blvd.
