Charles Russell Sr. funeral Tuesday

DOWNEY - Charles A. Russell Sr., a retired carpenter, passed away peacefully at his Downey home on July 31. He was 92.Russell was born in Elkhart Township, Ill. He lived in Downey for 10 years. He is survived by his son, Charles (Connie) Russell, of Downey; significant other, Meryle Moravec; and sisters, Margaret Cisco and Myrtle Tremain, both of Springfield, Ill. He was predeceased by his wife, Anna, to whom he was married for 46 years. A visitation will be held Monday from 4-8 p.m. at Miller-Mies Mortuary. Burial will take place Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Riverside National Cemetery.
