Charles Bowers earned Purple Heart

DOWNEY – Charles Bowers, age 92, passed away at home on May 5. Charles was a Purple Heart Veteran wounded in Okinawa. He has been retired from GTE for 28 years.

He is survived by his son, Scott. A funeral was held Saturday, May 16, at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Whittier.
