Chamber has openings on its board of directors

DOWNEY -- The Downey Chamber of Commerce is accepting nominations for three vacant seats on its board of directors. 

To be eligible, potential board members must have been an “active” member for one year and their membership fees paid up to date. 

Associate chamber members are not eligible. Associate members are generally non-profits, churches, organizations, and individuals. 

To have your name added to the slate of candidates, present a signed letter signed to nominating committee chairperson Laurie Tyler or any other member of the nominating committee in care of the Downey Chamber. The letter can be faxed to the chamber at (562) 869-0461, delivered in person, or mailed to the chamber at 11131 Brookshire Ave., Downey CA 90241.

Deadline to apply is April 20. Nominations are for two terms of three years each. 

This year’s nominating committee includes Laurie Tyler, John Casillas, Cindy Kovach, Monica Diem and Ronald Long.
