Cerritos finishes street repairs on Studebaker Road
CERRITOS -- Improvements for Studebaker Road from Artesia Boulevard to Alondra Boulevard in Cerritos were completed at the end of June.
The $642,305 project included repaving the road; rehabilitating sidewalks, curbs and gutters; and replacing 15 ramps to comply with Americans With Disabilities Act guidelines.
As part of the Studebaker Road construction bid award, the Cerritos City Council authorized the use of approximately $154,000 in leftover funding from other capital projects for the re-paving of a segment of South Street from Gridley Road to the eastern city limit (Park Place Center). This paving project also was completed at the end of June along with striping and adjustment of utilities.
“The city is working diligently to improve and maintain the streets throughout Cerritos,” remarked Cerritos Mayor George Ray. “These recent upgrades are just the beginning of continued improvements that are planned for the roads in our city.”
