Cerritos Center releases 2015-16 season schedule
CERRITOS – Entertainment legend Donny Osmond opens the 2015-2016 Season at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) with an 8 p.m. concert on Saturday, Sept. 19.
Since Osmond’s teen years, during which he charmed America with the hits Go Away Little Girl and Puppy Love, the crooner has delighted generations of fans as a Broadway star, actor, on-air personality, television host, record producer, and author.
Osmond will perform his all-time favorites and new hits from his 60th album, “The Soundtrack of My Life.”
The upcoming 2015-2016 Season lineup highlights world-class performers in music, children’s entertainment, and Broadway. Enjoy performances by acclaimed singers Neil Sedaka, Jon Secada, The Temptations, and Joe Nichols. Fun family-friendly shows include Amazing Animals, Mummenschanz, Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical, and Tap Factory.
CCPA favorites and returning acts include Merry-Achi Christmas, Colors of Christmas, and saxophonist Dave Koz.
The 2015-2016 Broadway series includes Flashdance, The Producers, and
Ragtime. The Memory Lane series showcases The Bronx Wanderers; Reunion of the Champagne Music Makers Featuring Ralna English, Guy Hovis, Arthur Duncan, Bobby and Elaine, Mary Lou Metzger, Gail Farrell, and the Champagne Music Makers Orchestra; In the Mood; and Cab Calloway Orchestra with special guest Alice Tan Ridley.
Rob Kapilow’s What Makes It Great? series features DVOŘÁK – Symphony No. 8 With the Cal State Fullerton University Symphony Orchestra; BEETHOVEN – Kreutzer Sonata With Blake Pouliot, violin and Hsin-I Huang, piano; and From Brigadoon to My Fair Lady: The Songs of Lerner and Loew With Amanda Squitieri, soprano.
