Cerritos applies to host Covid-19 testing site

CERRITOS — Cerritos Mayor Naresh Solanki has submitted a formal letter to Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn on behalf of the City of Cerritos requesting a COVID-19 testing site in Cerritos. 

“My council colleagues and I would like a testing site made available in Cerritos to offer convenient testing for our residents and the community,” Solanki said in a statement. “I believe there are several locations in the City that would lend themselves to a successful testing site. 

“The city greatly supports this endeavor, and hopes that the County will be open to considering this important request,” continued Solanki.

Los Angeles County and the City of Los Angeles have opened drive-up COVID-19 testing sites in locations throughout the County. For more information about current testing sites or to register for a test if you are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, visit covid19.lacounty.gov/testing.
