Celia Evens passes away at 94

DOWNEY - Celia Evens, a longtime Downey resident and an original member of St. Raymond's Catholic Church, passed away Nov. 27 at the age of 94.She was born in Los Angeles on Nov. 18, 1916 to Pedro and Isabel Jaramillo. She is survived by her daughters, Pat (Larry) McCool and Sharon Tooley; grandchildren, Christopher (Amy) Robinson and Lance McCool; great-grandchildren, William and Megan Robinson; and godson Alfred Fregoso. Services were held in her honor Dec. 2 at St. Raymond's Church. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery in Montebello.
