Capt. Michael C. Wong

Capt. Michael C. Wong, formerly of Downey, has returned to the United States after a three-year assignment at Royal Air Force Base in Lakenheath, England. A 1980 graduate of Warren High School, Wong lettered in track and field as a member of the varsity team during all four years of school. After graduating with his associate degree in nursing from East L.A. College, he pursued his bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from the University of Phoenix. Wong, who was commissioned as a captain in the U.S. Air Force in February 2009, is now stationed at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio with his wife, Bernadette, and two children, Leilani and Nahele.
