CalMet to resume separate trash, recyclable pick-ups next week

DOWNEY — CalMet will resume using separate trucks for trash, recyclables and green waste starting Monday, May 11.

CalMet temporarily consolidated disposal services after a recycling plant was closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Los Angeles County Sanitation reported that the belts at their processing facilities have resumed operations and therefore CalMet will no longer need to do a “one-pass trash and recycling collection.”
