Bonnie Jeanne Bowater

September 3, 1922 - January 29, 2022

On January 29, 2022, Bonnie J. Bowater passed away at her home in Downey California. Bonnie was born in 1922 in Clayton, New Mexico. She and her family moved when she was a child to Greeley, Colorado where she was raised on her grandfather’s ranch. She resided in the same home in Downey for 60 years.

Bonnie and her husband Milton loved to travel and did so for many years until his death in 1999. After her husband’s death, Bonnie continued her world travels well into her later years. Bonnie was a gifted artisan and was known for her beautiful renditions in stained glass. As a young woman, she also was a cub scout den mother, a wonderful cook and an avid reader. She wil be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her two sons, John (Prescott AZ) and Robert (Maricopa AZ); grandchildren, Kimberly, Benjamin, Heather and Holly; great grandchildren, Kaeln, Aedn, Sierra, Whitney and great great grandchildren, Dotty Jeanne and Elwood.

A memorial service will be held to honor the life of Bonnie on February 25, at Miller Mies Downey Mortuary at 10:00 am with a reception to follow at Bonnie’s home.
