Block captain training Wednesday

DOWNEY – The Downey Police Department’s Neighborhood Watch program will host its second annual block captain meeting Wednesday, Feb. 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the Barbara Riley Center. Police detectives will provide block captains with tips on residential and vehicle burglary prevention. Representatives from Public Works will also address lighting and speed bump concerns.

Block captains will also have an opportunity to network and share their strategies for success.
