Blankman to speak Wednesday

DOWNEY - Candie Blankman, pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Downey, will be the featured speaker at Wednesday's meeting of Citizens for Downey at the Rio Hondo Event Center. In addition to her service at the church, Blankman also heads an nondenominational group "which has a mission and goals for our community."The meeting is free and begins at 7:30 a.m. An optional breakfast buffet is available for $10 ($15 for couples) at 7 a.m. The public is invited and no reservations are required.
