Bellflower chorus to perform retro concert
BELLFLOWER – The Bellflower Civic Chorus will open its 50-year season with a WWII-themed show, “I’ll Be Seeing You,” May 15-17 at the William Bristol Auditorium in Bellflower. It has been said that the songs written during World War II “will live forever in our hearts.”
The chorus will sing several favorites, including “The White Cliffs of Dover,” “I Left My Heart at the Stagedoor Canteen” and “I’ll Be Seeing You.”
They also will add their special treatment to Glenn Miller’s “Moonlight Cocktail” and “Moonlight Serenade.”
The concert will also feature a performance by the Headliners, who will perform a ‘40s dance routine to “Elmer’s Tune.”
Performances are at 7 p.m. May 15, and 2:30 p.m. May 16-17. General admission tickets are $5.
