Bellflower car show Sept. 8

BELLFLOWER - The Bellflower Noon Lions Club will host its 14th annual car show Sept. 8 from 2-7 p.m. in downtown Bellflower.The car show has grown each year and features a variety of vehicles, from bone stock cars of the 1920's and '30s to custom hot rods and race cars. This year's show will feature a "cackle fest" with nitro-burning dragsters firing up their engines for the crowd. Admission to the car show is free. There will also be professional face painters, balloon artists, giveaways and more. A portion of the event's proceeds will assist the city of Bellflower's scholarship programs and various charities.
