Barbecue at church Saturday

DOWNEY - The city of Downey will host a free community barbecue Saturday for residents of the "triangle" neighborhood east of the 605 Freeway.The barbecue is from 2-4 p.m. at Redeemer Covenant Church, 10801 Fairford Ave. City officials and members of the Downey police and fire departments will be present.
