DOWNEY — While this year’s celebration may have looked a bit different, there was still plenty of holiday cheer and smiles as Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center and the Rancho Los Amigos Foundation partnered with Bank of America for their annual holiday Adopt-A-Family donation and celebration.

More than 25 families – 83 adults and 43 children – were adopted by Bank of America and participated in Rancho’s first socially distanced drive through Adopt-A-Family event on Dec. 17.

Patient recipients and their families drove through to pick up their holiday gifts from Bank of America, as well as a full box of non-perishable foods.

In addition to receiving gift cards from Target, Walmart or Amazon to help with their holiday shopping, the families each received a special surprise, gift cards to their favorite local restaurants thanks to an additional $2,500 from Bank of America.

The 26th annual Adopt-A-Family program brings hope for the holidays to families in need at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. This year, support is even more critical given the challenges of 2020.

Bank of America has helped hundreds of families as a partner of the Rancho Los Amigos community for the past 87 years.
