Artist to lead painting workshop

DOWNEY - Local artist Roy Anthony Shabla will lead a painting workshop Tuesday at 7 p.m. inside the activity room at Rio San Gabriel Park.The Downey Arts Coalition described Shaba as "arguably one of the most unique artists in Downey's borders." Shabla, who is also a poet and author, enjoys painting large format abstract expressionism. The workshop is open to the public.
