Art exhibit depicts life after child abuse

DOWNEY - The Exchange Club Family Support Center will host an art exhibit April 28-29 at First Baptist Church of Downey.Titled "Beauty Out of Chaos...A Childhood of Wonder and Hope, "the exhibit will feature artwork from Downey Unified School District and private school students, as well as a special display done by Sussman Middle School art students. About 35 pieces have themes of healing and reclaiming life after child abuse. The exhibit will be open April 28 from 12-8 p.m. and April 29 from 12-5 p.m. in the church's Stamps Center.
