Anne Tito dies at 92
NORWALK -- Norwalk resident Anne Marie Tito passed away peacefully at 5:15 am on July 26. She was 92.
Anne was born March 24, 1923. As a young woman, she worked as a secretary in her father’s spaghetti factory in Chicago, and later was the manager of See’s Candy stores in Norwalk and Downey.
She also served as president and secretary of the Thomas B. Moffitt Elementary School PTA, and was Brownie and Girl Scott Troop Leader for both daughters.
She was a wife to Nicholas A. Tito (deceased) and the mother of Pearl A. Eszlinger and Diane M. Courtney and her husband, Michael. Anne and Nick also had a son, Nicholas A. Tito Jr. who passed away at one month old.
Anne’s mother, Providence, passed away when Anne was 13. Anne was a grandmother to Ryan and Ronnie Nicks, and Marshall Jennings and his wife, Asa. Her siblings are Josephine Ciancio, Phillip Coffaro and Michela Coffaro. Her brother, Charles, and stepmother, Josephine, are deceased. She had several great nieces/nephews and in-laws.
A funeral service was held July 30 at Rose Hills.
