Animal control checking dog licenses

CERRITOS - Animal control officers will be in the unincorporated areas of Cerritos, Long Beach and La Habra Heights this month to ensure dog owners are in compliance with licensing and spay/neuter requirements.State law requires that all dogs over the age of four months be vaccinated against rabies and be licensed. Los Angeles County has a mandatory spay/neuter and microchip ordinance applicable in unincorporated county areas.
