Angelo Cardono

Downey jeweler, World War II Navy veteran, aviator and community leader Angelo Cardono, left, received his industry's prestigious "service in excellence" award at the 24-Karat Club Southern California dinner dance held at the Montage Beverly Hills last month. Among his other distinctions, Cardono is famed for his Mickey Mouse pancakes and 62-year perfect attendance record with Downey Rotary Club.
