Alleged drunk driver crashes into garage

Police arrested a 20-year-old suspected drunk driver last night after he allegedly stole his mother's car and collided with two vehicles before crashing into a garage.The Long Beach Press-Telegram first reported the incident on its website Thursday morning. The man took his mother's 2002 Nissan Altima at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, the newspaper reported. He allegedly crashed into a vehicle at 7646 Phlox St., continued driving, and hit another car at 11423 Horton Ave. He then slammed the car into the home's detached garage, the newspaper reported. The man ran to his sister's house at 7953 5th St. where family members restrained him until police arrived, according to reports.
