Alex Dominguez is guest speaker at Downey Historical Society

DOWNEY – Downey Patriot staff writer Alex Dominguez will be the guest speaker at the Downey Historical Society’s next meeting, Thursday, Oct. 19, starting at 6 pm at the Barbara J. Riley Community and Senior Center.

Dominguez’s reporting covers a wide range of topics, from local government to entertainment and human interest. His journalism has won awards from the Los Angeles Press Club and California Newspaper Publishers Association.

Dominguez joined the Patriot as an intern in 2015 and was hired as a staff writer in 2017.

He is a member of Downey Los Amigos Kiwanis and graduated from Warren High School.
