Aggressive neighbor

Dear Editor: I live in Downey and currently attend Warren High School as a senior.

Every day since I was a sophomore, I jog with my dogs around my street. Today I was finishing my last lap when an old man came up to me, calling me a moron, saying I couldn’t run my dog by that street while he was walking his dogs.

I asked why not and he said he was going to “kick my a–.” His dogs were barking like crazy while my dog and I were just standing there and all of sudden he went up to my face and said he was going to hit my dog and me.

I told him to calm down and he kept yelling at me saying, that he was going to “beat my a–,” asking where I live. So I walked up to him this time but then he walked away, calling the police saying that I was trying to beat him up.

I was just wondering if I could walk my dogs or not, because it isn’t fair simply because he does not like it. I was wondering if you could help me. Thank you.
