Letter to the Editor: Eliminate Bellflower city credit cards

Dear Editor:

Last year I received a phone survey from the city of Bellflower.

They asked my opinion about a new tax and raising an old tax to pay for their mismanagement of the city after the federal lawsuit and federal investigation of the city, which is costing us tax payers over $2 million.

I thought there must be more to this, so I asked the city clerk, do people at city hall have access to city credit cards? She said, YES! So I requested emailed copies of the credit card receipts. She said there were too many to email to me and I would have to make an appointment to view hundreds of pages for just the last two years of employee credit card purchases.

Please cut all Bellflower city credit cards, if we are in a fiscal emergency, immediately!
