13 arrested at Labor Day protest outside Kaiser
DOWNEY -- Thirteen people were arrested at a protest Monday outside Kaiser Permanente Medical Center.
Members of the Service Employees International Union Healthcare Workers blocked streets, including an entrance to the hospital, as part of their labor dispute with the healthcare provider.
“Even though 13 people were arrested, the protestors were peaceful and very cooperative with law enforcement throughout the event,” Downey Police said in a statement.
