Ann Burkhardt and her husband, Pete, traveled to Switzerland - Pete's birthplace - in June to celebrate his 50th birthday. The couple are longtime residents of Downey and met at Warren High School in 1981. Pete's parents, Ueli and Irma, are longtime Downey residents as well. "They have a vacation home in Switzerland so we joined them on their vacation for a mini-tour of the city of his birth and his mom's hometown, Flawil, St. Gallen, Switzerland," says Ann.
