DOWNEY – The Downey Symphony is holding a “Mad Hatter” Garden Party at the Rio Hondo Event Center on Sunday, Sept. 21, from 3-7 pm. Attendees are encouraged to wear hats, and those who do will be entered in a special drawing.

The afternoon includes entertainment by the USC Brass Quintet, drawings and an auction for valuable prizes, and dinner.

Proceeds benefit the Downey Symphony.  Tickets are $65.

The orchestra is holding a flapjack fundraiser at Applebee’s in Norwalk, on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 8-10 am. An ample breakfast will be served by Symphony Board members.
