DOWNEY – Downey resident Richard Aguilera, born Oct. 6, 1962, passed away on May 4. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Mary Aguilera, and his sisters, Lily and Burna Aguilera. He was the 10th of 11 children.

He is survived by his siblings Yolanda Contreras, Manuel Martinez, Josie Weymouth, Vicky Yap, Frank Jr. Aguilera, Helen Villegas, Corrina Alcocer and Patsy Aguilera. He is also survived by his daughter, Celeste Aguilera, and grandchildren Jason and Justine Montalvo.

Richard grew up in Hawthorne and moved to Downey. He was active in his church.

A memorial service will be Saturday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at Praise Chapel Christian Fellowship, 3034 E. Gage Ave., in Huntington Park.
