Poetry Matters next Thursday
DOWNEY – Poet Bonnie Bolling, returning to the U.S. for a short visit, will share her work at Poetry Matters next Thursday, Oct. 16. Bolling lives in the Persian Gulf with her family, and is a powerful poet with a feminist point of view. She is active in the broader poetry world as editor of Verdad, an international lit magazine, and assistant editor of Pearl, a Long Beach-based poetry magazine.
Poetry Matters is free and open to the public. This presentation may contain adult language and themes.
Poetry Matters begins with an open microphone at 7:30 p.m. at Stay Gallery in downtown Downey. Doors open at 7 p.m.
