DOWNEY – Downey resident Samantha Tosch won a new color e-reader for being the 1,000th person to check-out an electronic book from the Downey City Library. Tosch was presented a Kobo Voc color e-reader at the April 8 Downey City Council meeting.

“On behalf of the city, I would like to congratulate Ms. Tosch and thank the public for supporting our library’s new e-book program,” said Mayor Fernando Vasquez. “Many thanks to our e-book partner, OverDrive, for hosting this giveaway and donating the e-reader.”
